TITLE: IT Support
COMPANY: Aboriginal Peoples Alliance (Northern Ontario)
HOURS: 35 hours a week
Contract Position until March 31, 2026
LOCATION: Cochrane, Ontario
Position Summary:
We are seeking an IT Support to provide technical assistance to our employees. The ideal candidate will be a motivated problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot computer issues in-person and remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to employees with hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot problems with computer systems and networks
- Manage databases and provide data support
- Conduct training sessions on technology-related topics
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email or in-person
- Install, configure and maintain computer hardware and software
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to resolve technical issues
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
- Knowledge of computer systems, networks and databases
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience providing technical support in-person and remotely
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
