The Medical Radiation/Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic imaging across radiography and ultrasound to support timely, high-quality patient care. Working within departmental policies and professional standards, the technologist independently conducts exams, ensures image quality, and provides compassionate patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Key responsibilities include patient identification and preparation, selection of appropriate technical factors, evaluation of images, safe use of contrast media where applicable, equipment operation and basic troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications
- Graduate of a certified Radiation Technology program and a certified Ultrasound Technology program
- Current active member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO), qualified to practice in both modalities: Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) and Medical Radiation Technology (MRT)
- Competent in producing quality radiographs and images; maintains clinical competence through continuing education
- Knowledge of Meditech and Enterprise Imaging
- Excellent communication, teamwork, time management, and judgment
- Registration with ARDMS, OAMRS, and/or Sonography Canada is considered an asset
- CPR certification is considered an asset
- Ministry of Labour Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training Certificate
- Physical ability to perform job duties
- Participation in the on-call schedule and availability within the community during on-call hours
- A clear vulnerable sector check will be required by the successful candidate as a condition of employment
Compensation
- Hourly Wage: $36.84 – $51.77 as per the OPSEU collective agreement
- Paid vacation and benefit coverage as per the OPSEU collective agreement
- Enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
