The Physiotherapist provides clinical rehabilitation services to inpatients, outpatients, and long-term care residents, supporting mobility, function, and overall quality of life. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and contributes to safe, patient-centered care in inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings.

Operating in a full-time, non-union capacity, the position is based at Lady Minto Hospital (LMH) and Villa Minto LTC (VM). The Physiotherapist is licensed in Ontario and works within a multidisciplinary team to deliver care in acute, outpatient, and long-term care environments. Responsibilities include delegating tasks to and supervising the Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) as deemed appropriate by the Physiotherapist, coordinating with internal and external providers, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Care delivery spans the bundled care program, acute care, complex continuing care, and ongoing resident support in the long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physical Therapy / Master of Physical Therapy or equivalent
• Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Rostered in oxygen titration is preferred
• Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer status is preferred
• Clear Vulnerable Sector check

Skills & Experience

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Experience working with geriatric and cognitively impaired populations is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of documentation standards and patient safety procedures
• Experience with Meditech Expanse and/or PointClickCare is preferred
• Must be physically capable of prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred

Compensation & Schedule

This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday to Friday, with a total of 37.5 hours per week.

Rate of Pay: $50.01 – $55.04 per hour

Signing Bonus: $5,000.00

This position is eligible for the Rehabilitation Professionals Incentive Grant Program through the Ontario Ministry of Health. Eligible Physiotherapists can receive up to $15,000 over a three-year period for working in a Northern Ontario hospital such as Lady Minto Hospital.
